Job Details:
Responsible for various maintenance and installation tasks, including but not limited to all traffic signal equipment. This position is a critical operations role that optimizes the performance of field equipment for cities, countries, and states. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial independent decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

o Provides lead direction in setting up, installing, and initiating the operations and servicing of equipment at a field site.

o Identifies and analyzes traffic control and network devices utilizing various maintenance and repair manuals, test equipment, wiring diagrams, schematics, electronic devices, and electrical equipment.

o Provides signal turn on set-up, installing, and initiating the operations and servicing of equipment at a field site.

o Set up and configure video detection equipment and network connectivity.

o Ensures customers are properly trained and up to date on the latest best practices and product features.

o Conducts training seminars (presentations and in-field) on product use and installation for customers and distributors.

o Creates and maintains training records and entering data in SalesForce or other account management software systems.

o Maintains records of all maintenance activities in accordance with contractual requirements.

o Maintains agency product approvals in the assigned region.

o Provides support and feedback to the Engineering team for field trials, new products, and software.

o Assist in the growth and development of team and processes.

o Assist in other related duties as required, including scheduling, logistics, quality performance monitoring, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements: 
Four-year college degree or equivalent in engineering related discipline with a minimum of five years’ experience in traffic signal field experience. IMSA Level III Certification required. Experience with Traffic Management Systems required. Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics and use electronic tools and test equipment. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to comply with the company standard practice as it applies to field assignments. Able to use typical office automation products such as word processing and spreadsheet programs. Mental ability to perform analytical work. May be required to travel domestically and internationally and work odd hours, in-line with customer requirements. Strong technical problem-solving skills required. Strong commitment to efficiently achieve high-quality results is required.

Job Summary: Performs duties to identify, advocate, and pursue business development opportunities/strategies. Business Development Managers are the front-line force with respect to customer contact, coordination, and correspondence. Monitors and analyzes sales and marketing activity against goals. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Effectively sell the benefits and value of GRIDSMART and reach business targets through effective management of designated territories.
  • Identifies new business opportunities. 
  • Conducts physical visits to customer sites to provide presentations or demonstrations of company products and services.
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue by cold-calling, if necessary, and maintains contacts with customers.
  • Actively participate in customer relationships and manage distributors by actively managing call/ visit schedule to cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner adequately.
  • Develop targeted accounts strategy and radiate sales from within client base by direct customer visits or through a distribution network
  • Confers with customer technical representatives and management to determine and interpret customer requirements
  • Use customer and prospect data from applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including sales, call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation; maintain sales information in the CRM system at least weekly
  • Detect and effectively communicate competitor activities, market conditions, and account intelligence to company executives
  • Provides input for accurate and realistic sales forecast estimates. 
  • Participates in the preparation of the strategic and sales plan.

Minimum Job Requirements: 
Four-year college degree in engineering, business management, or business development, plus eight years’ experience in a sales position, preferably outside sales and territory management. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of regional sales management, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in developing customer relationships, closing sales, and regional territory management with a distribution network. Must have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and channel management. Strongly motivated by performance-based compensation. Able to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines. Must be able to travel as required, and up to 4 nights per week if needed. Some travel within defined territory may not require overnight travel. 

The position is for Northeast Territory, which includes Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. A residence is required within the territory; relocation assistance is not available.
